It won’t be the Shakespeare play that North End supporters will be putting on at Surrey Street on Saturday, but they will be celebrating the magnificent season with a family fun occasion, starting at 5pm. The home of the Hillmen will be hosting a barbeque, with music and a bouncy castle for the kids whilst allowing everyone who went to Wembley to get together and reflect on that great day out on May 10th. To help with those discussions, Official Club Photographer Jim Lockwood will be exhibiting his photographs from the weekend that show the inside story of the weekend – from the club hotel, the training session at Bisham Abbey, the Wembley Dressing rooms and the after match party, giving supporters the full gen on the weekend. Those supporters are also encouraged to bring along their own picture, either printed in an album or on a compact disc, and the club will be only too pleased to show these too. Norman Taylor’s watercolour caricatures of the 2008/09 squad will also be on show. In addition, there will be a raffle, with a star prize of an XBOX 360 for the lucky winner. Tickets for a Midsummer Night’s Dream cost £3, and you can turn up on the evening and simply pay on the turnstile. A family of four can enter for £10. The fun starts at 5pm and finishes at around 11pm. The clubhouse bar will, of course, be open. Why not head along and support the club! Saturday is an exciting day for the Hillmen, as the market stall that was such a success in the run up to the FA Vase final re-opens at 9am. The stall has a number of superb new items for sale, which include:- New style T-shirts, 'Back to School' goodies, stylish Mugs, polo shirts, North End hats (beanie and baseball style and the replica shirts and scarves are back in stock. There are also lots more of goodies for sale, including GNE rock that turns your mouth blue, and the opportunity to personalise any present for any member of your family. Ask for details. So if you are struggling for that last minute father’s day present, why not get down to the indoor market and pick up a North End gift for your dad. |
